This Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) course is a 4-day class. Attendance is required for all four days to complete the course and take the exam on May 18th.

Day 1 Real Estate Finance: In this day, students will identify different lending information they may need to gather for their buyer or seller and recognize the tenets of lending and how lenders evaluate prospective loans. The course also examines types, advantages, and disadvantages of third party financing, compare the features of different loan products, describe loan processes, and explain general lending terms, mortgage documents, and closing costs, among other topics.
Day 2 Appraisals, CMAs, and Pricing: During this day, students will be taught the difference between appraisals and comparative market analyses, learn important vocabulary used in appraisals and CMAs, and understand the appraisal process.
Day 3 Diversity & Fair Housing: This segment discusses diversity, cultural differences, and demographic trends in light of changing real estate markets. It explores cultural attitudes, practices, and business etiquette. Further, it offers listening and communication tips to help REALTORS® interact more successfully with clients. The material covers fair housing laws and protected classes, as well as rules related to advertising and promoting properties. Finally, it proposes systems and models for equal treatment and the same standard of service to all clients.
Day 4 Contracts: The TREC promulgated one-to-four family residential sales contract will be thoroughly explained, in addition to how the provisions of the resale contract can impact the transaction. Students will aloos learn how to properly complete the forms and contracts for a real estate transaction and help protect clients and mitigate risks by effectively using contracts.
